The Senior Manager of Member Acquisition and Renewal is an integral member of the Membership team at WCS, leading the implementation efforts to acquire new members, retain current members, and reengage lapsed members. This position reports to the Executive Director, Membership & Digital and supports the New York (NY) based Digital team. The position is part of a collaborative team that works closely to create a best-in-class membership experience. Excellent leadership and project management skills, highly collaborative, able to work with a range of stakeholders both inside and outside the organization, attention to detail, being proactive, and possessing strong communication skills are all important elements contributing to success in the role.Major Responsibilities:The individual’s main responsibilities will be in supporting the NY based Membership team by overseeing, implementing, executing, and reporting on the processes that ensure successful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of WCS members. Responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain project plans and timelines for member communications and renewals including direct mail and email series.
- Work with internal teams to develop and continually optimize member communications, and on new program enhancements including auto-renew, upsell opportunities and gift memberships renewals.
- Manage external vendor relationships including tracking the production schedule, setting incentive offers, editing content, testing variants, and adhering to set budgets.
- Manage member list segmentation and data delivery across internal teams.
- Track and report on analytics for Membership renewals, acquisitions, and journeys.
- Set direction for testing strategy for both renewal and acquisition including incentives, offers and creative.
- Identify new vendors and software to enhance member outreach and special project initiatives.
- Assist in planning and staffing member cultivation events at each of our parks.
- Assist in the production and execution of special fundraising initiatives including the Holiday Gift Guide, Name A Roach, and Run for the Wild.
Qualification RequirementsJob Qualifications
- 8 years progressively responsible experience in marketing and digital programs, with proven success in delivering start-to-finish project management and demonstrated financial results.
- Knowledge of direct mail and email production, as well as digital marketing advertising.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, negotiate workflow, handle tight deadlines, act independently, and set and maintain priorities.
- Strong technical skills and understanding of current online technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, communication, and research skills.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud or other relevant software preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
